Colorado & Destination · Available Nationwide
High-end video and photography, built for teams that don't settle.
If you're a lead filmmaker or photographer who demands a second that keeps up, moves quietly, shoots intentionally, and delivers work you can actually use: let's talk.
Check My AvailabilityWho This Is For
You've built something. The couples who hire you trust your name, your eye, and the level of work you consistently deliver. The last thing you need is a second who slows down your rhythm, misses moments, or hands you unusable footage at the end of the day.
I work with lead filmmakers and photographers who are shooting at the top of the market, whether you're based in Colorado or traveling in for a destination wedding. I know how to read a room, anticipate what's coming, and operate without needing to be directed through every moment.
My background is in documentary-style wedding film and photography, and I shoot film: 35mm, medium format, and Super 8 motion picture, which means I'm comfortable with tools and creative intentions that most seconds simply don't have experience with.
What I Bring
Documentary-first. I understand timing, movement, and the difference between capturing a moment and manufacturing one. I shoot and log comfortably, and I can operate as a dedicated second camera or cover parallel moments simultaneously. I'm equally at home with digital cinema and motion picture film.
Clean, intentional stills that complement your lead style. I've shot weddings as both primary and secondary photographer and I know when to be visible and when to disappear. I'm comfortable with on-camera and off-camera flash, which means I'm not a liability in a dark reception hall.
I own the gear and I know how to use it. 35mm stills, medium format portraiture, Super 8mm motion picture, and 16mm motion picture. Actual film, not a filter. If your couples are asking for this level of work, I can deliver it. A gear charge applies when I'm bringing my own equipment.
For lump sum bookings, I show up with everything. Digital cinema, analog film cameras, lenses, lighting for flash work: I'm ready for any scenario the day throws at us. You don't have to think about what I need. I've already thought about it.
I show up in an all-black suit and tie. I'm dressed to blend into the wedding while looking polished enough to be in any room. I communicate clearly, I know your timeline before I arrive, and I don't need hand-holding. If something changes, I adapt. You won't hear about it until after the wedding.
Clean file handoff, labeled and organized to your spec. My footage and images come back in a state that doesn't cost you extra time in the edit. I log on set so your selects are already identified.
Based in Colorado and available across the Front Range, the mountains, and for destination dates nationally. If you're coming to Colorado for a wedding, I know this state's light, venues, and conditions.
I bring enough caffeine to keep a grizzly bear awake through hibernation season. Long days, back-to-back coverage, 6am first looks: I'm not going to be the one dragging by cocktail hour. You'll probably have to tell me to slow down.
A Note on Film
Super 8mm and 16mm motion picture film aren't filters. They're physical mediums that behave completely differently from digital. The grain is real, the latitude is real, the imperfections are real. Shooting them on a wedding day requires a different kind of discipline, and I've built that discipline over years of actual use.
I own the cameras and the knowledge. 35mm stills, medium format portraiture, Super 8mm, and 16mm motion picture. I have experience integrating all of these formats into full wedding days alongside digital coverage, and I know how to do it without slowing down your day or creating problems in post.
If you're a filmmaker or photographer whose work includes analog formats, or whose clients are starting to ask for it, I can slot in without a learning curve. A gear charge applies when I'm supplying my own equipment.

From Lead Filmmakers & Photographers
[Testimonial placeholder — quote from a lead filmmaker or photographer you've worked with. Keep it specific: what they noticed, what made the difference, what they'd tell another lead about working with you.]

[Testimonial placeholder — a second quote. If they mention something specific — your film background, your instincts on the day, how you handle chaos — that's gold.]

[Testimonial placeholder — a third. Even a short, punchy quote works. "I've worked with a lot of seconds. Brandon's different." That kind of directness lands well with industry peers.]

About Brandon
I'm Brandon Krage, the photographer and filmmaker behind Motus Weddings. I started Motus because I saw a gap between what most wedding studios produce and what a wedding day actually looks and feels like. Everything we do is documentary-first: real moments, real light, no manufactured posing.
When I second shoot, I bring that same intentionality to your day. I'm not there to fill a slot. I'm there to make your final product better. That means covering the moments you can't be in two places at once for, giving you clean and usable footage, and staying out of your way when you're in yours.
I shoot 35mm, medium format, Super 8mm motion picture, and 16mm motion picture alongside digital, and I know how to integrate all of it into a seamless wedding day. I'm also comfortable with on-camera and off-camera flash, which means I'm not caught flat-footed when the reception lights go down.
