Our Story

A Husband & Wife,
Behind the Lens.

We're Brandon & Aby, college track teammates who fell in love between practices, married, and built a life around two things we couldn't shake: each other, and the quiet pull to tell stories that last.

Today we live, work, and run Motus Weddings out of a little corner of the Rockies, 8,888 feet up in Bailey, Colorado. The thin air, the long sunsets, and the slow afternoons up here remind us daily why we do this: because love, when you actually pay attention to it, deserves more than a phone in someone's pocket.

Faith is at the heart of everything, Jesus at the center of our marriage, our calling, and the way we serve every couple who lets us into their day. Outside of weddings and elopements you'll find us chasing trail miles, planning the next trip, and burning through more rolls of 35mm and Super 8 than any reasonable person should.

We make a promise to every couple who books us: to tell your story honestly, to stay out of your way while you live it, and to hand you something that will still move you thirty years from now. We shoot real film alongside modern digital because some moments are too important to trust to a hard drive. The real ones, not just the posed ones.

Real moments, real emotion. The laugh you didn't know was caught. The tear before the vow. We chase the in-between, the parts that pose can never reach.

Film Is A Choice

35mm, medium format, Super 8, 16mm. Each one does a specific job, and every frame costs something, so every frame is considered. We shoot film not for nostalgia but for permanence, the kind of work meant to be held, not scrolled past.

Our marriage, our craft, and how we treat every couple we serve, all rooted in a faith that calls us to show up with patience, kindness, and love.

This Is Why

A bride called us months after her wedding. Her younger brother had just passed away, and she hadn't purchased the raw footage. We sent her a mini highlight reel of her and her brother together at her wedding, and gave her every frame of raw footage, free. That changed everything.

This is legacy. This is why we do this.

We learn your story, your style, your vision, and you get to know the two humans who'd be standing beside you on your day. No pressure, no scripts.

We Show Up On Your Day(s)

Cameras in the background, hearts fully present. We move with the day instead of running it, capturing every real moment without ever being in the way.

Relive It Forever

Your gallery, your film, your legacy, delivered. Digital images alongside Super 8mm and 35mm film, developed in-house. Heirlooms your grandkids will hold one day.

Meet The Team

Brandon & Aby

We love watching a day unfold, the room shift when you walk in, the moments nobody planned, the quiet in-between things that make it yours. Adventure weddings and film belong together for the same reason: both reward patience and presence. We don't rush either. That's the whole thing. That's why we do this.

Brandon handles in-house development of every roll of 35mm and medium format film, along with Super 8mm conversion. Aby keeps the back end running so everything feels seamless from your first email to your final delivery. Most of the time you'll have both of us, we shoot photo and video together for most of our couples, and when additional coverage is needed, we bring in people we trust.
