An engagement session is where we figure out how you two move together before the day that counts. It is a relaxed, unscripted shoot in a place that feels like you, photographed on 35mm film and digital, so by the time your wedding arrives the camera already feels invisible.
There is no shot list and no shouting poses from behind a camera. The approach is the same one that shapes the whole studio: real moments, real emotion, the in-between parts that a pose can never reach. The laugh you did not know was caught. The quiet look between the loud ones.
Your photographer is your Motus lead, the same person who will shoot your wedding, so by the time the day comes you already know how they work and they already know you. Booking with Brandon and Aby? Then it's the two of them, with the same film cameras in the bag.
Sessions work for three kinds of days: engagement sessions before a wedding, couples sessions with no wedding attached, and proposal sessions where one of you is keeping a secret.

Engagement and couples sessions with Motus include a full digital gallery and one roll of 35mm film, developed and scanned in-house. Video can be added if you want a short cinematic film from the session too. Reach out for your investment.
Film is part of the session, not an upsell. The same 35mm cameras we bring to weddings come to your session, and Brandon develops every roll in-house rather than mailing it to a lab. If you want extra film beyond the included roll, the physical film stock is the only additional cost, and we quote it for your specific session.

Send the inquiry form with your date, location, and what you are picturing, and you will hear back within 24 hours to set up a call. From there we plan the session together, shoot it, and deliver your full digital gallery along with your 35mm film scans, developed in-house.

We meet you at the location and let the shoot unfold. No shot list, no stiff posing. Just you two moving through a place that matters, with film and digital running side by side.
03 · The Delivery
Your full digital gallery arrives along with scans from your roll of 35mm film. Brandon develops every roll in-house, the same way he handles film from weddings and elopements.

A proposal only happens once, which is exactly why we photograph it the way we photograph weddings: present, quiet, and out of the way. You focus on the question. The cameras handle the remembering.
